Zach Wallace Named Regent of the Week
Wallace had a monster week for Rockford recording a pair of double-doubles. He opened with 18 points, 12 rebounds, 5 blocks, 2 steals and 1 assist in a win over Concordia Chicago. Wallace then carried Rockford with 26 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks at Concordia Wisconsin. For the week he averaged 22 points on 64% shooting, 11.5 rebounds, 3.5 blocks, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steal.

Junior forward Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending January 10, 2016. Wallace helped lead Rockford to a perfect 2-0 record this past week.

Lady Pats Struggle Late in Loss to Phoenix
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team would host the #18 ranked Phoenix of Cumberland University (CU) on Thursday. The Patriot ladies would control most of the game, but some late struggles from the floor coupled with a late run by the Phoenix would spell demise for the Patriots as they would fall 55-49 to CU. The loss moves UC to 7-5 on the season and 0-2 in Mid-South Conference (MSC) play.

Student named to Augustana College fall term Dean's List
Augustana College announced 962 students were named to the Dean's List for the 2015-2016 fall term. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a four-point scale for courses taken during the term.

Zach Wallace Named Regent of the Week
Junior forward Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) has been named Regent of the Week for the week ending December 13, 2015. Wallace shot 78.9% from the floor while averaging 20 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4 blocks and 1 assist in Rockford's two games last week. His best performance came against Concordia Wisconsin when he set career-highs in both points and rebounds. The junior tallied 35 points, 7 blocks, 7 rebounds and 1 assist against the Falcons.

Women's Basketball Falls on the Road to UPike, WV Tech
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team began the week with high hopes to return to the win column after a tough 72-58 loss to the Railsplitters of Lincoln Memorial University. UC would have two opportunities to do that as they began a 4 game road stretch with a game at the University of Pikeville (UPike) on Thursday and another at West Virginia Tech (WVT) on Saturday. Unfortunately, UC would not have the luck they needed as they dropped both contests, falling to UPike 84-78 in overtime and 61-59 to WVT. UC's overall record now sits at 6-3 (0-1 Mid-South Conference).

Patriot Ladies Fall for 1st Time This Season to NCAA-DII Railsplitters
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team traveled on Saturday to Lincoln Memorial University to take on the Railsplitters. The Patriot ladies took the lead early in the game, but would trail at the half by 3. The Railsplitters picked up play in the 4th quarter to advance their lead and finish off the Patriots 72-58, handing UC their 1st loss of the season. UC now sits at 6-1 overall on the year.

UC's Box Bags MSC Player of the Week Award
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team is off to another great start in the 2015-2016 season. Now at 3-0 on the season, the Patriot ladies look to continue their pace throughout the season. Last week, UC came away with two solid wins as one Patriot had stellar performances in both contests and for her efforts was awarded by the Mid-South Conference (MSC).

Women's Basketball Defeats Dillard; Opens Season 3-0
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team continued their impressive play in the Georgetown College Habitat Classic as they earned a 50-49 win over the Bleu Devils of Dillard University. After trailing 33-24 at the half, an explosive 3rd quarter by the Patriot ladies and consistent play in the 4th gave them the momentum they needed to earn the one point victory. With the win, the Patriots improve to 3-0 overall on the season.

UC Women's Basketball Opens Season with Win at Midway
The University of the Cumberlands (UC) Women's Basketball team opened up their 2015-2016 season on the road in Midway, Kentucky against the Eagles of Midway University (MU). The Patriots would look to start off on the right foot with a win Thursday night and did just so. UC would lead 24-17 at the break and never look back, earning a 71-47 victory. With the win, the Patriots move to 1-0 on the season.

The musical "Seesaw" is based on the William Gibson play "Two for the Seesaw". The plot focuses on a brief affair between Jerry Ryan, a young lawyer from Nebraska, and Gittel Mosca, a kooky, streetwise dancer from the Bronx.

Junior John O'Bryan (Richmond, Ky.) highlights the group with his Second Team All-NACC selection, while sophomores Trae Blumhorst (Mendota, Ill.) and Zach Wallace (Rockford, Ill.) were each named NACC Honorable Mention.

Students compete in scholarship competition
Nearly 600 high school seniors competed in Augustana College's annual Scholarship Competition on January 17, 2015. Students competed for $4,000 scholarships awarded by each academic department at Augustana. Winners of the scholarships will be notified by March 1, 2015.

Rockford University's 160th Commencement Ceremony, held on Sunday, May 18, awarded degrees in Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science in Management Studies, Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Master of Arts in Teaching and Master of Business Administration to approximately 400 students.

Seventy-Nine Regents Named NACC Scholar-Athletes
The Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference has recognized 1,104 full-time student-athletes as scholar-athletes for the 2013-14 academic year. Rockford had an excellent academic year as its 79 scholar-athletes is by far the most honorees the Regents have had in conference's eight-year history.
